Volunteers are essential in providing our residents with friendships and opportunities that can alleviate loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. Our volunteers are valued members of our health care team and every day they make an immeasurable difference to the lives of our residents and patients.
At The Views at St. Joseph’s we have a variety of volunteer opportunities for both youth and adults.
Volunteer opportunities, include: Visiting, Baking, Nail care, Playing cards, games and activities, Coffee social, Church and spiritual services, Community entertainment events, Music with individuals or groups, Assisting residents with computers, Helping in the art studio, Helping with the garden, Playing bingo, Trivia and reminiscing groups, Participating with exercise groups, Movie nights, Meal assistance, Excursions
In addition, you may be interested in the Auxiliary for Comox Valley Healthcare, an independent volunteer organization supporting resident and patient comforts in The Views at St. Joseph’s.

Youth Volunteer

Youth volunteers are very important members of The Views community. Residents and staff look forward to the injection of energy and optimism that they bring. In their distinctive red t-shirts, they can be seen throughout The Views.
The Youth Volunteer program is open to students Grade 8-12. Most Youth Volunteers serve one day per week.
