Building and maintaining inter-generational bonds

The Grandbuddy Program brings The Views residents together with Aspen Elementary School students to create golden moments for the two generations once a month. Students have regular contact with the seniors and develop meaningful relationships. Through regular contact and shared experiences, the Grandbuddy Program helps students and older adults learn from one another and develop positive attitudes towards each other. Examples of shared activities include:
Butter Making, Music, Art, Earth Day, Christmas Craft, Jam Making, Halloween Party
Many of our Grandbuddies return after the school year to visit with their buddy. The relationships can also continue through the Youth Volunteer Program offered throughout the summer and school year.
