The Views at St. Joseph’s is a compassionate non-profit residential community of care that promotes dignity, meaning, friendship, creativity and independence.
St. Joseph’s is owned by the Bishop of Victoria and is governed locally by a volunteer board of directors comprised of Comox Valley residents. We are accountable to our residents and their families, to the Vancouver Island Health Authority, the BC Ministry of Health, our owner, board (link to board) and to the taxpayers of BC.
The Views at St. Joseph’s operates under a Master Agreement between the Province of British Columbia (Link) and the Denominational Health Association. (Link to https://www.denominationalhealth.ca/) The agreement recognizes the rights of owners of denominational care facilities to own, manage and operate their respective facilities and carry out their respective religious missions. It obligates the owners to meet provincial standards and national accreditation for health care.
Under Affiliation Agreement for Residential Care (Non-Profit Denominational) with the Vancouver Island Health Authority, The Views at St. Joseph’s mandate is the delivery of quality residential health care services.
