The Views at St. Joseph’s is a compassionate non-profit residential community of care that promotes dignity, meaning, friendship, creativity and independence.
The Views at St. Joseph’s is owned and operated by Providence Living. Providence Living is a new faith-based, non-profit healthcare organization established by Providence Health Care to redefine our collective expectation of seniors’ care in British Columbia. Providence Living is accountable to – and works in partnership with – our residents, patients and their families, Island Health, the BC Ministry of Health, and taxpayers of BC.
The Views at St. Joseph’s operates under a Master Agreement between the Province of British Columbia and the Denominational Health Association. The agreement recognizes the rights of owners of denominational care facilities to own, manage and operate their respective facilities and carry out their respective religious missions. It obligates the owners to meet provincial standards and national accreditation for health care.
Under an Affiliation Agreement for Residential Care (Non-Profit Denominational) with the Vancouver Island Health Authority, The Views at St. Joseph’s mandate is the delivery of quality residential health care services.
The Views at St Joseph’s is grateful for the strong support received in volunteer hours, gifts in kind and donations. Since 2009, the Auxiliary for Comox Valley Healthcare, Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation and St Paul’s Foundation have collectively donated over $2 million towards capital projects and resident activities at The Views. Should you be moved to donate to our work in enhancing the quality of life for seniors at The Views, donations can be made through the Comox Valley Health Care Foundation and St. Paul’s Foundation.
The Views is made up of Eagleview, Oceanview and Mountainview units offering 169 beds in total with some private, semi-private and standard four-bed rooms.
